Megan grew up in the Lower Mainland. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of British Columbia. She then spent a year working at a veterinary clinic in Galway, Ireland before obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced general and emergency medicine in the lower mainland and interior of BC for 10 years before switching gears to pursue a career in Diagnostic Imaging. Megan was incredibly fortunate to complete a Diagnostic Imaging Internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, in Houston, Texas and a second Diagnostic Imaging Internship at Canada West Veterinary Specialists, in Vancouver, BC.  Megan then worked as a sonographer at a local specialty and emergency hospital for three years where she honed her ultrasound skills while working with many talented specialists and gained invaluable experience. Megan recently opened a mobile ultrasound practice and is delighted to be collaborating with Mountainside 24/7 Animal Emergency to provide ultrasound services at their hospital. Off duty, Megan enjoys all the west coast has to offer including mountain biking, hiking, running, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, and gardening. She also is passionate about traveling, cooking and most importantly, spending time with her family including her two young daughters.
