Veterinary Assistant
Alex
When Alex was in her freshman year of high school, she wrote a letter to her family veterinarian asking to shadow at the clinic for her school's career day. It was a huge success and the clinic offered her a job as a kennel attendant. Since then, she has been working in the animal care and veterinary industries in many capacities, working her way up to more and more responsibilities in both general practice and emergency medicine.
After graduating from the University of Toronto in 2015, she worked at the Lions Foundation of Canada for a number of years where she raised and trained four service dogs for individuals with various disabilities. In 2020, Alex obtained her KPA-CTP training certification and promptly opened her own dog training business. Shortly after, she moved to the West Coast and decided to return to university to pursue her ultimate dream of becoming a veterinarian.
When she is not working, training dogs, or studying, Alex enjoys travelling the world, learning new trivia and thinking up jokes to keep her friends laughing.
