We are so excited to welcome Dr. Megan Atwood to the team here at Mountainside! Dr. Atwood has an extensive background in diagnostic imaging including two internships and has worked as a sonographer at Boundary Bay for the last three years. She has recently started her own mobile ultrasound practice and has been providing our patients with urgent ultrasounds for the last four months. We are now happy to open this service to all our referring clinics!

Services offered:

• Abdominal ultrasound – Dr. Atwood will interpret the study and write the report. Owners will also be given the option to send the study to a board-certified radiologist for an additional fee if they prefer.

• Cervical ultrasound

• Thoracic ultrasound (must be performed in combination with thoracic radiographs)

• Ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration, thoracocentesis, abdominocentesis

Dr. Atwood does not currently offer echocardiography but will be in the new year. She will be available to see ultrasound cases at Mountainside 24/7 Animal Emergency during daytime business hours on Wednesdays. Dr. Atwood is excited to offer this service to the veterinarians on the North Shore and their clients!
