Mountainside 24/7 Animal Emergency

Emergency of the Week - Lilley

Lilley (Dog)

Lilley, the amazing 1 year old pup, came to Mountainside after being injured by a car. While on a walk, a car zipped by them, turned around in the cul-de-sac, and upon driving back past them, Lilley jumped out and was hit by one of the car's tires!

Her owners did not see her go under the wheel, and it seemed that she just bumped it before bouncing back. Right away, Lilley’s owner’s brought her to Mountainside Animal Emergency. There were no visible injuries to her head, or abdomen, but her back right leg had some trauma.

While at the hospital, Lilley was taken in for radiographs where it was determined that there was no concern for a fracture and no evidence of thoracic trauma! Lilley’s wound was repaired and bandaged up, with a recommended recheck and bandage evaluation in 48 hours.

Lilley was sent home with some antibiotics, an anti-inflammatory, and some pain relief medication. She has now settled back into her normal routine!
